Profile: As Adult Education Officer, Rina has responsibility for the management of educational programmes for those who have left school in Co. Westmeath.  Over 6,000 persons take part in these programmes, in over 30 locations in the County.  Programmes prioritise those who have left school early, especially those facing further difficulties in accessing education and employment.   Many learners require childcare and the County Childcare Committee supports these facilities and ensures that they operate at the highest standards.  In addition, childcare programmes are provided by the VEC, from Levels 1 to 5, and these facilitate knowledge of child care and development for parents and,  in addition,  potential employment in the industry.
